Sara joined the NIHR Newcastle MIC in August 2022 after working as a clinical evidence specialist for the medical devices company Smith and Nephew. Previously, Sara had completed an MSc in Psychology before conducting Health Psychology research for Hull University. In 2018, Sara was awarded a PhD in cognitive neuroscience for research examining the modulation of cognitive training using transcranial electrical stimulation. She brings to the MIC team academic experience of quantitative and qualitative research methods combined with an industry acquired knowledge of the requirements for bringing medical devices to market. Her interests are in care pathway analysis and contributing towards the development and evaluation of novel diagnostics.
