Companion diagnostics for advanced therapies webinar
We were delighted to co-host a webinar with the Advanced Therapy Treatment Centre network on the development of companion diagnostics for advanced therapies.
Amanda Winter, a Diagnostic Evaluation Healthcare Scientist who is affiliated with the NIHR Newcastle In Vitro Diagnostics Co-operative (NIHR Newcastle MIC) and currently working at the Integrated COVID Hub North East Innovation laboratory, delivered the presentation. Amanda introduced the network to the NIHR Newcastle MIC and the regulatory pathway for companion diagnostic tests. Amanda also explained how the NIHR Newcastle MIC can offer support to collaborators who are developing these tests. The presentation was followed by a question and answer session where Amanda was joined by Dr Joy Allen, senior methodologist at the NIHR Newcastle MIC team, and Dr Alison Bray from the Northern Medical Physics and Clinical Engineering Directorate of The Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
