In 2018 we began our partnership with LifeArc, formerly known as the Medical Research Council Technology. LifeArc is a British life science medical research charity that funds, develops and protects medical innovation.

LifeArc collaborate with scientists from academia, industry and other research groups to develop their ideas into clinical applications that offer patient benefit.

Their facilities include a Centre for Diagnostics Development based in Edinburgh.

We provide our expertise and experience to inform LifeArc’s triaging process for new diagnostics. This includes participating in their triaging process by providing advice to inform LifeArc’s decision making about which enquiries to take forward. We also provide more in-depth evaluations to assess whether the most promising diagnostic innovations address unmet clinical needs.

LifeArc have also helped to shape our activities by attending our strategy meetings and events.
