The NIHR Newcastle MIC represents a collaboration between the Newcastle Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Newcastle University.

Around half of the NIHR Newcastle MIC team are employed by Newcastle University. The university provides dedicated office space for the MIC, and support in kind, in the form of a Project Manager and two PhD studentships.
