Tackling COVID: NHIP in Action
12.15-12.45
Online
The Newcastle Health Innovation Partners (NHIP) aims to become the most integrated and innovative Academic Health Science Partnership in the world. As part of this collective platform, we are helping NHIP to work with innovators to discover, develop and deliver new solutions in healthcare. This will improve the health of people across North East and North Cumbria.
The NHIP are hosting a series of monthly, free, 30 minute, “Lightning Talks” to highlight the work of this partnership. The talks will also provide an opportunity for stakeholders to influence the future design of NHIP’s work.
In the first talk you will hear how the NHIP are working together to tackle the effects of COVID-19 in the region. Martin Wilson, Chief Operating Officer at Newcastle Hospitals, and Fiona Matthews, Dean of Research and Innovation and Professor of Epidemiology at Newcastle University, will share the stage for around 10 minutes. There will then be time for the audience to discuss the work with Martin and Fiona.
